Emergency Alerts – CodeRED

The Truckee Police Department, Truckee Fire Protection District and Nevada County Office of Emergency Services use the CodeRED Emergency Alert System as the primary method of communication during critical incidents. CodeRED is an opt-in notification system, and these alerts may be received as text, email, landline, cell phone, and TTY. Residents and visitors are encouraged to subscribe to CodeRED to stay informed in the event of an emergency.

Register for CodeRED emergency alerts:

  • Online at CodeRED
  • Call 211 or 1-833-DIAL211
  • Text ReadyNevadaCounty to 99411 and follow the prompt to register

After registering for the alert program note  the following:

  • Add CodeRED to your contacts:
  • Emergency calls will originate from 866-419-5000.
  • Non-emergency calls will originate from 855-969-4636.
  • Texts will originate from different numbers depending on the cellular service provider.

View the CodeRed FAQs page for additional information.

It can be confusing for people who may have a Truckee address but, in reality, are located in Placer County. By entering a specific location or using the GPS feature in TahoeAlerts, we eliminate any guesswork and ensure residents and visitors are signed up for the correct alert systems. Simply visit http://www.tahoealerts.com, enter your address or location, and let the system do the rest, identifying the emergency notification system that’s right for you.

Property Insurance Renewal

Dear Boulders Owners,

I’m writing this to inform you that our Insurance company, Farmers, has informed us that they will not renew our insurance policy for the Boulders next year. Their stated reason is that they made a decision to decline to renew any policy of $100M or more. The current insurance is in force until the end of 2024.

Please be assured that we are actively engaging with both our current broker and other brokers known to our property manager Associa to find equivalent insurance. We have been told that this process will take some time, so we ask for your patience. As soon as we have more information we will share it with you.
