The situation: Many owners have contacted us with concerns about the January assessments missing from account ledgers. Once we were made aware that the monthly assessment had not posted to owner accounts, we immediately contacted our billing department to find out what was causing this delay. They investigated and responded with the following:
The cause: our system had not yet activated the developer lots with valid addresses, therefore it suspended the processing of the assessments for the entire community. This is not something we have seen in the past so all departments were unaware that it would have this affect.
What this means to you: this error will mainly effect owners who are signed up for our direct debit program. You likely will not see the automatic monthly amount deducted from your bank balance and this amount will post to your account within the next 72 hours (now that the error has been fixed). We know this may have caused some frustration and inconvenience to your personal finances but now that the issue has been identified you can be assured that future months will be deducted as normal.
We very much appreciate when owners let us know of concerns that need to be investigated. Please continue to notify us if you see any other issues arise.
