Have You Voted?

Hi Boulders Owners,

By now you should have received your CC&R ballot packet in the mail.

Did you send in your ballot to vote? If not, please mail it ASAP! Remember to sign the outer envelope.

If you did not receive it, please reply and we can send another one. If you are traveling and need it sent to a different address, let me know that address.

Thanks,

The Boulders AC Policy Announcement

Dear Boulders Members,

Hope your summer is going well!

We are happy to announce the approval of the new Air Conditioning Policy at the June 29th, 2022, Board Meeting.

To recap the Policy, it provides guidelines that can be followed to purchase and install an acceptable Air Conditioning unit. Here are some key points to note:

  • AC unit cannot be installed outside the unit or directly in the window
  • The venting can be installed in the window or sliding door
  • AC unit must run on existing available wall power plugs

The policy is now posted in the Governing documents section of the website. As a reminder this url is: https://truckeeboulders.com/home/governing-document/

If you follow this policy, you do not need a design review.

Happy summer,

Neil Perrelli
Board Member

SAFETY HAZARD: Do Not Use the Hot Tub

Dear Boulders Homeowners,

The hot tub is a SAFETY HAZARD. Please DO NOT use it until further notice.

It has been brought to my attention that people are using the hot tub despite several posted signs saying that it is closed. It has been vandalized twice over the past few days, as someone has been smashing the jets. In one case this has left a hole large enough that a child’s arm could get caught in it, causing serious harm.

Please let your your family, friends and renters know that they must NOT use the hot tub.

Due to unavailability of replacement parts we do not yet have an estimate of when the hot tub can be repaired. The signs will be removed when it is once again safe to use.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Important Information about Short Term Rental for ALL owners

Dear Boulders Condominium Homeowners,

In the summer of 2021, many concerns were brought forward to the Boulders Board of Directors regarding the impact that short-term rentals (STR’s) had on the community.

In response to these concerns we formed a committee comprised of six owners (four who rent as STR’s and regularly use their condo, one who is a full time resident, and another who owns but does not rent as an STR and is on the Board) with the goal of looking into the concerns and to find solutions to issues like excess noise, trash, parking, and the use of common amenities.

The following document, Boulders Short Term Rental Best Practices, is the result of a six-month exploration and conversation about the impact of STR’s, how to ameliorate the problems, and support a harmonious community at the Boulders.

In addition, several committee members are available in case STR owners have any questions or need support, advice, or guidance regarding the requests made in the Best Practices document.
